Who we are

Our company specializes in development of critical aeronautical safety data. KPGeo was formed in 2012 gathering experts in aviation, satellite imagery processing and photogrammetry. In our vision of the company we identified a quality focused work culture. Since 2012 we have delivered high quality products for the aviation market: AMDB and eTOD databases, digital terrain models to support PBN (Performance Base Navigation) and Surface Navigation. At the same time we are also striving to grow and maintain the same high quality standards regarding our working relationships with clients and coworkers.

Data production process

Planning

At the planning stage we are focused on understanding and identifying client needs, and analyzing airport complexity, number of obstacles and terrain difficulty. During the planning phase we are also determining the required resources and technology needed to meet the aeronautical standards and our client requirements.

Data Developement

We extract aeronautical data using photogrammetric methods. Our imagery sources can be: satellite, aerial or drone. To achieve the required accuracy standards imagery has to be adjusted to the ground using Ground Control Points (GCPs) – usually measured on terrain using proper survey equipment. Based on the adjusted imagery our photogrammetry specialists extract the geospatial data adhering to the projects aeronautical standards.

Quality Analysis

Aeronautical data has to meet stringent requirements related to data structure, data topology, attributes, geometrical and informational relationships between objects. Our QA team performs numerous quality tests to achieve these high standards. All project data are controlled in reference to current imagery, aeronautical standards and AIP (Aeronautical Information Point) documentation.

Delivery and Support

Part of our quality policy is to measure and improve the satisfaction that customers have with the product. Aeronautical data accepted by our QA team are delivered to our clients, but true customer satisfaction is the real indication of the quality of our work.

Our aerodrome data are collected using satellite or aerial imagery supported by surveyed Ground Control Points. This is very efficient, high accurate and non-invasive method of data acquisition.
